Give Yourself Permission

A women said to me 30 some years ago, “give yourself permission.” A concept I had not thought about much, as I had responsibility that seemed to determine my life.  I remember the first time I gave myself permission to do something I would never have done before, and it changed my life forever.

Soon I gave myself permission to travel!  Do you give yourself permission to travel?   The thought can be easily overwhelming.  When, how much money, where, why, with whom…  That is a lot to decide!  But first you need to give yourself permission to travel.  Then the rest will fall into place with my assistance.

To me, there are two kinds of travel: family and personal.  Next week I will write about how you can mix the two but for today let us just think about personal.

Most of us live such hectic lives it is hard to find the time.  So give yourself permission to have “x” amount of time this year and maybe next year you can expand. A half day to the local museum may be the start or a long weekend.  Block your calendar now.  Maybe block several dates.  Then let us talk.

There are several questions you need to answer first, what kind of trip do I want to have: relaxing, adventuresome, learning, international or domestic?   What is happening in our daily lives may determine our travel experience.  A short travel experience may be as reinvigorating as a long three weeks, but the latter gives time to experience the destination in depth.  I have divided three week travel trips over several experiences.   I may return and add something new each time. I like to return.  Like going back to your favorite places and restaurants?  This is what I give myself permission to do.  How about YOU?

Regular clients of mine just planned their summer holiday. Their driving decisions were: relaxing and comfort, yet they wanted an international experience. With so many options, they selected a cruise that met their family needs, comfort, and budget.  And believe it or not they are in a Penthouse suite with all included meals, beverage, gratuities and spending money within a most reasonable budget!  They gave themselves permission to relax in comfort!

What are you going to do?  Call now so I may assist.
