September brings new energy; a new academic calendar year, cooler air, musical performances, elections… and for me a much busier time.
The fall has a lot of three day weekends. Turn them into quick get-away and bring new energy into your life. The renewal benefit from three or four nights away can be nearly as good as 10. Another great advantage for a short holiday is that it’s easy to plan and does not cost so much. So now might be the time when you can splurge on that wonderful resort you heard about or would you like me to describe one I know? Where ever we live, we all have great get away places within driving distance of our homes. Do you want a great restaurant, a spa or a walk in the woods or on the beach? Going to the cities in the fall can be difficult especially here in Boston as it is our busiest season. A mountain or beach escape will be wonderful so do plan soon!
If you need immediate assistance while I’m away, please do contact my colleague Janice Ackerman at 617-588-4239 or firstname.lastname@example.org. If she is not available, please call the main number 617-621-0100 and anyone can assist you. See you in September!
P.S. On a side note, about 125 of you read this newsletter on a regular basis. Every so often I check the list. I know who does and when! What I do not know is, am I writing about issues that interest you? Every so often I like to ask what you want to read. As you may have noticed I write mostly about the art of travel rather than destinations. Would you like to hear more about places? Someone asked me once what I do and I said “I am in the people and places business.” I am always interested in your thoughts. So please do send them along. And if you are so inclined please send my name to your friends. Thank you!
