Two weeks into the New Year and are you still on track? Maybe instead of committing to an arduous workout regime or draconian diet, resolve to have more fun this year-because we like you just the way you are.
Far too often we look at the start of a new year as the time to embark on a schedule of grueling self betterment. That is silly! After all, isn’t it healthy to be happy too? Here are my New Year’s resolutions you can actually enjoy. And since we are only two weeks into the year we can easily begin a new.
Spend less time at your desk… What is more depressing than your cubicle? Are you sitting all day long? How about making the time to escape it and do something physical. A hike through the Olympic National Park or Zion, Appalachian Trail or the Grand Canyon can all provide the excitement your body craves.
Go on a second Honeymoon…. Has anyone ever told you they’re spending too much time on romantic holidays? Of course not! Why not be the first? Take time to indulge with your significant other this year. Have you been to St. Lucia, on an Oceania Cruise, or Tahiti lately? Plan it now for a Valentines’ Day present.
Treat your taste buds… After enjoying all that scrumptious food over the holidays, wouldn’t you like to learn how to make them? French, Italian and Chinese cooking schools are everywhere. Or go to Bordeaux and learn and taste all about some of the best red wines in the world. Of course there is the Rhone Valley, Burgundy, Tuscany and California or Oregon too!
Find peace of mind… Are you always connected to buzzing telephones? Gone. Are you anxious about financial and tax reports? History. Let is all go while you are on a pilgrimage to-where else? Shangri-La for a close look at this fascinating and deeply spiritual pocket of Tibetan culture. Closer to home Sedona, AZ, surrounded by ancient red rock will hold you in the palm of its hand, while you soak in a hot tub.
Or if you really want to do some good... Go some place where you can be of help. Haiti is still in need of so much. Find a medical program or home building programs you can assist with just limited skills. A week can do so much good for you as well as the recipient.
Be good to yourself this year. Call and I can help you get there!
