Now is the time to begin. During the next few months I do most of my work. Last minute winter plans then summer and fall will be well under way. Where would you like to go? Our world these last few years seem to be in a continual spin and we do not know what will happen next. But life is calming down. It seems we will know our tax bracket and bills for the next few years. Most of the rest of the world is remaining stable and yes, lots of local conflicts but they do not seem to be spreading. So I am thinking 2013 will be a great year to travel.
Would you like to go back to some of your favorite places? Hawaii, Paris, Anguilla, San Francisco, Venice, Santorini to suggest a few. Or are you ready for an adventure? Hike Mt. Kilimanjaro, learn to scuba dive, ride an elephant in Thailand, white water raft down the Colorado River or photograph the Taj Mahal? We all travel differently. What is interesting or adventurous for one is boring to another. We all need to plan and now is the time to begin.
River cruises for the fall of 2013 are almost sold out! Some of my favorite small hotels quickly become filled and airline seats are the first to go. So to find the best rates, fares, and accommodations, it is never too early to begin planning.
And stories… where did you say you would go one day? Years go by so quickly. Now is the year to do one of those things you have always wanted to do. Fill up your glass with stories. While flying home from Seattle, I chatted with a woman from Chicago for the full four hours! We had so much to share not just because our lives had a common tread but because we had great stories to tell. What are your stories and adventures? You are in charge of your stories.
