It seems like I write this every other week, but it never seems like I can say it enough. When you have a situation that needs a resolution, it is very nice to have a travel consultant.
Jim’s flights were to Chicago and back. Easy, nonstop flights, he knew his carrier of choice so Jim could have booked the flights himself and saved the planning fee. Instead this is what happened:
His morning flight got cancelled and he was rebooked by the carrier to an evening flight which meant he would miss an important family function. When flights are cancelled due to weather the carriers telephone numbers get very, very, busy. Who do you contact for other options? Many people are reshuffling. Seats are going quickly. Information needs to be gathered and decisions need to be made.
My reservation system can quickly show all flights, all airports, every day. I was able to see that if Jim skipped his dinner and went to the airport he could get out early. I issued him a ticket, checked him in and sent him on his way. The next day I refunded his original unused ticket.
Can you imagine how much time I saved Jim? And all Jim had to do was email me. Make me your travel consultant and I will always make sure you have a resolution.
