Last year at this time I was in the midst of taking a marketing class. As a result of that class you have been reading my newsletter and blog. The first weeks of the class, we spent learning about ourselves, why we do what we do, and how we may serve you. As a result this is my tag line… “I work with busy, successful, curious people who want to master joy in their life journey through the art of unique travel experiences.”
One service became very clear to me; I want to encourage you to step outside your comfort zone through unique travel experiences! For me, that is the way I grow. Never could I consider myself a writer yet every week I share my thoughts via the written word. (Thank goodness I have a great editor!) I was picked on all my life for my word skills, yet here I am typing away; going very beyond my comfort zone. My reward is knowing that one out of four recipients are opening and reading my newsletter. Thank you for your confidence!
I think of the other ways I have pushed my limits to help myself grow. I remember my first scuba diving lesson at Club Med in Cancun, 1986. The snorkeling on their reef is the best. But I wanted to go deep to see more. This was my first experience in the Caribbean Sea, let alone seeing vibrant unique yellow and blue fish of all shapes and sizes! After taking the recreational course I came home and got certified. It changed my life! Each step along the way I was so very nervous. But I kept going back for more.
Now I have over 160 dives under my belt. One in particular… Can you imagine sitting on the edge of a large row boat, in full scuba diving gear, you are about to roll over backwards into the sea, and it is NIGHT time!?! It was twenty some years ago and I still remember the fear. It was a great drift dive in Cozumel.
My diving has tapered off lately as I have grandchildren to go visit and I discovered Europe! It is amazing, just writing this article, I can still feel the old emotions!
The more you step outside your comfort zone, the greater the reward, the feeling of accomplishment which expands our sense of self-worth.
How may I help you step beyond your comfort zone through the art of unique travel experiences?
