This months’ copy of Virtuoso life magazine (found online at http://www.virtuoso.com/vlapps) has a section titled “The Travel Dreams Survey.” I found it very interesting. I would never have picked the top dream destination as being Australia. Coming in second (I clearly would pick as in the very top) was Italy. The rest in order were South Africa, New Zealand, Greece, Antarctica, France, French Polynesia, China and Ireland. I have been to five of these destinations. How about you?
Other survey subjects were on family vacations, outdoor adventures, wine regions, cruise and island escapes and lots more. The survey I found the most interesting was the survey on the best cities for dining, romance, and style. The city to win in all three categories was none other than…Paris. Florence came in second. I was not the least surprised as they are my two favorite cities. Rome came in third and all three I have explored three times or more. I guess I like dining, romance and style! It is the balance that all three have that keeps calling me back. What calls you?
