Making the most of leisure time

We are all so very busy, going here and there, doing this and that.  Do you ever wonder want you did at the end of the day, let alone a year?  They go by so fast, I have my 50th high school reunion this fall.   Oh my!

When I was in South Africa in 1991 I learned that the “now” is most important.  We in the northern hemisphere live by the clock.  Time to do this or that!  South African native culture is ‘the now is most important and when I am finished with the now I will go on to the future.’   It allows one to finish a thought, a plan, an action.  It lets the person you are with know that they are most important now.  How nice it would be not to be interrupted with a cell phone or end of the hour.  When one allows the now to be important, one also allows the leisure time to be important.

Making the most of leisure time can be every day, or on a fantastic holiday.   Do you plan time in you day for quiet?  exercise?  What every you like.   Do you plan your holidays with leisure time? Share your comments below!
